Jessie Lee is a new media artist based in Toronto, Ontario. She is currently receiving her Bachelor in Fine Arts in Ryerson University’s Radio and Television Arts department. Jessie focuses primarily on computational arts and filmmaking. Her projects range from projection mapping to directing for music videos. She seeks to challenge artistic techniques by exploring media in both tangible and digital forms. 

From a young age, Jessie was trained in the performing arts as a dancer and musician and this background has become a base of many of her projects. Working with live performance artists, Jessie wishes to incorporate interactive and responsive technologies in her work. The performance aspects of this work emphasizes on the immediacy of real-time experience. She finds a unique quality to live feedback that an interactive space creates.

The uncertainty and fluidity of a live art are themes that Jessie likes to play with in her practice.
